National Alliance of Practitioners (NAP) is a community-first organization founded and run by practitioners, with the goal of improving our field by defeating predatory, profit-first industries. As individual practitioners, we are vulnerable to a system built to exploit us and push us to burnout, but by joining NAP we can fight back!
None of us can do this alone, so unity and solidarity are essential to the mission. NAP gives practitioners a home through a private and supportive community of like-minded peers. While the value in the community is infinite, we know the only way to beat the system is to remove money from it, and so we are also racing to provide our members with alternatives to venture capital funded systems as well. By providing members with services needed to practice, NAP delivers value while weakening the systems that seek to exploit us. This is just the beginning of what we have planned.
NAP is a Mission-Driven Advocacy Organization
The National Alliance of Practitioners (NAP) is focused on ensuring the collective will of practitioners is the primary force shaping health care across the nation. First, we will provide services, like a compliance-focused EHR, liability insurance, and claw back protections, to weaken the hold the exploitative system has on us. We will collectively bargain with insurers to force them to pay us what we're worth (the VC platforms showed us the way on this). Then, we will press our advantage with aggressive advocacy, education, and, when required, litigation.

We advocate for practical policy changes and legal safeguards to protect practitioners from industry forces dead set on squeezing every drop of our good will out of us.
Practitioner Protection
We protect practitioners by negotiating with insurers, challenging abusive practices, and fighting coverage denials and unfair payment clawbacks.
Community Mobilization
We are our community, and we hope to help local leaders and partners organize effective campaigns rooted in dignity, lived experience, and shared purpose.
Public Education
To make informed choices about how they want to spend their money, consumers need awareness of insurers' and venture-capital-funded companies' predatory and exploitative practices in our field.
